Council currently holds its meetings electronically with the meeting hosted and chaired from the Town of Essex Municipal Building. However due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic this meeting is not currently open to the public for in person attendance. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 emergency, the Meetings will continue to only be available to the public (including delegations) by livestream via YouTube at www.youtube.com/EssexOntario

The livestream for this meeting will be at the YouTube address noted below. The stream will be made live approximately 10 minutes before the start of the meeting and accordingly the meeting will not appear on the YouTube account page until then.

Any person who wishes to appear electronically at a meeting of Council to speak as a Specific Delegation (on a matter that relates specifically to an item on the agenda) shall submit a Delegation Request to the Clerk’s Office (clerks@essex.ca or 519-776-7336) no later than 4:30 PM on the Friday immediately preceding the date of the Regular Council Meeting. If you would like to otherwise address Council as a General Delegation, then you must submit the Delegation Request to the Clerk's Office by 2 PM on the Tuesday prior to the meeting. As always before you request to appear before Council, please consider discussing your concerns firstly with a member of Town Staff or your Council Member. If you are placed on the agenda as an electronic delegation, then you will be contacted and provided with details/instructions for joining the meeting electronically.
